Overview The role involves administering resident medication, assisting residents with self‑administration or with simple requests, and monitoring each resident’s daily wellness, including vital signs, weight, diabetic testing, and general activities. You will collaborate closely with the Care Services Director, Resident Care Coordinator, Dementia Care Coordinator, and other associates to ensure residents’ physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well‑being.
Pay & Schedule Pay Rate: $18.75 per hour (Med Tech) – $17.45 per hour (CNA / PCA) Shift Differential: +$1.50/hr for 2nd shift (2 pm‑10 pm), +$2.50/hr for 3rd shift (10 pm‑6 am)
All shifts: 6 am‑2 pm / 2 pm‑10 pm / 10 pm‑6 am – Full‑time or part‑time available.
Responsibilities
Observe residents for any changes in condition and promptly report to the Care Services Director, Resident Care Coordinator, Dementia Care Coordinator, or appropriate physician.
Assist residents with simple requests and coordinate with other associates as necessary.
Learn resident preferences to provide exemplary customer service and enhance resident satisfaction.
Document and report changes of condition using company forms for resident care documentation.
Provide medication set‑up and assistance, including logging medications from pharmacies, verifying physician’s orders, and communicating concerns immediately.
Track all medications and re‑order as needed while following regulatory and company policies regarding medication destruction and removal.
Track vital signs, weight, diabetic testing/injection (if state allowed), ambulation, and general activities.
Maintain knowledge of common medical abbreviations, symbols, and terms related to medication administration.
Support, lead, and participate in resident‑centered wellness programs.
Ensure residents’ self‑respect, personal dignity, and safety.
Assist resident assistants and track necessary supplies, communicating with the Care Services Director or Resident Care Coordinator.
Work as part of the team within your department and across the community, supporting open and honest communication among associates.
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and name tag.
Look for ways to reduce costs and create efficiencies daily.
Ensure regulatory compliance, reporting any issues or concerns immediately and supporting continuous improvement.
Adhere to all regulations, laws, and Kisco standards, including the Associate Handbook.
Understand and support the community sales process.
Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience
High school graduate.
State‑approved nursing assistant course (if required).
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
Completed required training or certification for medication assistance per state regulation.
Basic competency with multiple forms of technology, including Microsoft Office and custom applications.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
21 years of age (or meet state requirements).
Knowledge of pertinent regulations related to monitoring and licensing of the residence.
