HVAC Service Technician – Residential
Overview Ideal Air Conditioning and Insulation is a locally owned and operated HVAC contractor serving the greater Phoenix, Arizona region. We pay 100% for NATE and Mitsubishi certifications and provide ongoing training for Trane and Mitsubishi equipment. Join us as a part of our highly trained Residential HVAC Service team.
Key Responsibilities
Perform service and maintenance on residential and light commercial HVAC equipment.
Consult customers on repairs and indoor air quality needs.
Provide excellent customer service and build lasting client relationships.
Participate in a once‑monthly on‑call rotation, dispatched from home.
Advance your career through continuous learning and skill development.
Qualifications & Skills
Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
Minimum 2 years of HVAC service experience.
Universal EPA certification.
Proficient knowledge of refrigerants, heat pumps, troubleshooting, and repair of residential and light commercial systems.
Strong safety awareness with tools and testing equipment.
Ability to consult on customer complaints and make repair or replacement recommendations.
Understanding of all residential and light commercial codes.
Capability to handle system startup, adjustments, and diagnostics.

Work Hours & Compensation Monday through Friday, 40+ hours per week with no weekday after‑hours on‑call requirements. Overtime is available. Pay Range: $70,000 – $150,000 per year, hourly plus commission and spiffs, with uncapped earning potential.
