Mechanical Engineer – MEP Team (HVAC & Building Systems)

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) team in Raleigh, NC. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative building projects, focusing on HVAC design and integrated building systems that deliver comfort, efficiency, and sustainability.
Responsibilities
Design and develop HVAC systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial buildings.
Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and other disciplines to create cohesive building solutions.
Perform load calculations, energy modeling, and system sizing to ensure optimal performance.
Prepare detailed construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates.
Support project teams through design reviews, site visits, and troubleshooting during construction.
Stay current with industry codes, standards, and emerging technologies in building systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2+ years of experience in HVAC design and building systems (internship experience counts).
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC design software.
Strong understanding of ASHRAE standards, building codes, and energy‑efficiency principles.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
