Quality Engineer (Quality Clinic)

Responsibilities
Burn down, monitor and provide status update of shop NCMs, CRMs and aging material
Be a first point of contact for all discrepant hardware including investigating root cause analysis
Close out Quality Notices
Monitor, investigate and drive to closure 8D status
Request Shipping Authorization
Participate in and facilitate weekly manufacturing meetings
Train others in Quality Clinic processes
Assist Root Cause/Corrective Action Activities by working with a team to investigate, disposition and provide feedback
Support first article inspection (FAI) process (generate initial FAI paperwork, follow FAI parts through process, finalize FAI paperwork)
Work with onsite Inspection, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering, Operations and Supplier Quality to address a variety of technical issues which have created product non‑conformances
Monitor and update status on internal defects, customer returned and return to vendor parts
Communicate status of projects to all levels of Management
Qualifications
BS degree in Engineering or STEM discipline OR AS degree with 5+ years of production support experience OR 8+ years of equivalent experience required
1–2 years Quality Clinic experience preferred
Knowledge of Aerospace products and manufacturing processes preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Strong communication, teamwork, self‑motivation, and organizational skills
Experience with SAP strongly preferred
Overtime may be requested including weekend support
Pay Range $74,000 to $79,500 a year.
Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job‑related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.
Work Requirements
You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Travel Requirements Zero travel is required.
Citizenship Requirement U.S. citizenship is required.
