Job Summary As the Manufacturing Technician I, you’ll support production and manufacturing of Hazelett strip casters by operating machinery, assembling products, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment. Technicians ensure product quality and meet production deadlines.

Schedule 2nd shift, full time : 4-night weeks, Monday‑Thursday, 4:00 pm‑2:00 am. 20% shift premium.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor machinery in the manufacturing process, ensuring machines are functioning correctly and efficiently.

Use hand tools to achieve finishes or assemble items.

Assemble products or components following work orders, diagrams, or instructions.

Load raw materials into machines and handle finished goods, transporting them to designated areas.

Inspect products for defects, ensuring all meet company standards.

Report equipment malfunctions to the Team Lead and assist with troubleshooting.

Follow safety protocols, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Maintain accurate production records and report discrepancies.

Work cooperatively with colleagues and management to meet production goals.

Support routine maintenance of machines and equipment, notifying maintenance staff of any necessary repairs.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred but not required.

Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment operation.

Ability to operate manufacturing equipment and perform basic troubleshooting.

Basic math and measurement skills.

Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Willingness to work in varying temperature environments and possibly noisy or dusty conditions.

Strong attention to detail and focus on quality.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑demand environment.
