We are part of King Soopers, a Kroger Company, serving customers across Colorado and Wyoming. Our distribution center in Westminster, CO, is seeking a maintenance mechanic to keep equipment, lift trucks, and facilities operating safely.

Pay range $27.83/hr – $40.61/hr (based on skills and experience).

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair equipment, buildings, and fixtures throughout the distribution center.

Perform routine and preventive maintenance on lift trucks and other material handling equipment.

Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and maintenance manuals.

Write routine reports and correspondence related to maintenance activities.

Perform tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state/federal laws.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 18 years of age and ability to work weekends, overtime, and any shift.

Valid driver’s license; limited maintenance industrial license preferred.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and maintenance instructions.

Strong mathematical skills (probability, statistics, geometry).

Attention to detail and ability to organize and prioritize tasks.

Familiarity with distribution center operations and industry terminology.

Willingness to work within set time frames and fixed deadlines.

Desired Skills

High school diploma or GED with at least two years of experience in plumbing, blueprint reading, general building maintenance, and hydraulic/electrical systems.

Experience repairing electric or gas forklift systems (four years) or equivalent.

Installation and repair of plumbing, electrical systems, ventilation, racking, and doors.

Welding, cutting, designing, and repairing aluminum and steel structures.

Maintenance of hydraulic systems, air compressors, fire systems, and lift trucks.

Knowledge of battery charging and maintenance for forklifts.

Ability to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
