We’re looking for a
People and Culture Specialist
to help shape and sustain a workplace culture where employees feel welcomed, supported, connected, and equipped to grow. This role focuses on delivering an engaging onboarding experience, coordinating culture‑building events and engagement initiatives, and administering the organization’s Learning Management System (LMS) to support learning, development, and training consistency across the company.
Location: This position is currently based in Louisville, KY. The company and the position will be relocating to New Albany, IN, in late summer 2026.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and deliver a consistent, high-quality onboarding experience that reflects the company’s culture, values, and expectations
Partner with managers and cross‑functional teams to ensure a smooth and engaging first‑week experience for new hires
Maintain onboarding resources, schedules, and communications that support connection, clarity, and readiness
Build and maintain touchpoints that support early engagement
Collect feedback from new hires and leaders to evaluate onboarding effectiveness and improve the experience over time
In collaboration with the People and Culture Manager, plan and coordinate culture‑building events and company‑wide experiences that strengthen connection and reinforce organizational values
Support culture through storytelling, including employee spotlights and recognition communications
Maintain program resources and culture materials that keep values and culture visible across the organization
Support a year‑round culture calendar that includes celebrations, recognition moments, and engagement opportunities
Organize and execute initiatives such as:
Employee appreciation and recognition programs
Team‑building activities and social gatherings
Culture and values activation events
Employee milestone celebrations (anniversaries, birthdays, achievements)
Seasonal events and company traditions
Wellness initiatives and engagement challenges
Serve as the day‑to‑day contact for the organization’s LMS and learning tools
Upload, manage, and maintain curriculums and training courses, onboarding modules, learning paths, and required acknowledgments
Assign training based on role and department, ensuring consistency across teams and locations
Monitor completion rates, send reminders, and ensure required training is completed on time
Produce training completion reports and engagement insights for leaders and internal stakeholders
Support continuous updates of training content and learning structure to keep programs clear, current, and engaging
Partner with internal leaders to support learning initiatives such as leadership development, culture training, and role‑based learning programs
Assist with engagement surveys, pulse checks, and feedback systems
Support talent acquisition efforts as requested
Complete other duties as assigned
Requirements
5+ years of People and Culture focused experience including onboarding, culture‑building events and learning management system coordination
Demonstrated experience creating and delivering a high‑quality onboarding experience
Demonstrated experience coordinating large‑scale employee events or engagement initiatives that build connection and strengthen culture
Strong comfort with systems and platforms, with the ability to learn and support tools such as Absorb LMS (or similar learning management systems)
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and stakeholders while maintaining a high level of accuracy and follow‑through
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and collaborate across all levels of the organization
Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism, discretion, and respect for confidentiality
Demonstrated commitment to creating a welcoming and employee‑centered workplace experience
Proactive and transparent communicator
Ability to meet or exceed project deadlines and budgets

Full time, salary position, $65,000–$75,000 per year
