On Premise District Manager, Austin

Responsibilities
Manage Retail Specialist / sales consultant team to ensure successful execution and service to on premise accounts.
Perform market work approximately 80% of the week; spend about one day per week in office, remaining time in market with team.
Complete new hire paperwork and onboarding; train Retail Specialists and Merchandisers on Netsuite and internal operations.
Provide weekly (or more frequently) on‑the‑job sales training and coaching.
Route market Merchandisers daily to ensure efficient deliveries and merchandising.
Set monthly sales goals and keep team updated on progress; assist in achieving goals.
Address account issues/complaints and restore relationships.
Review account sales data; identify trends and reassign under‑performing accounts.
Enter orders, maintain accounts, and assist with retail deliveries.
Merchandise accounts and deliver orders as needed.
Conduct formal performance reviews bi‑annually (or more).
Ensure compliance on chain schematics, planners, and planograms.
Coordinate with Operations Teams for efficient route schedules.
Create and foster a positive work/team environment; address concerns professionally.
Review sales orders and pricing to maintain correct pricing and margins.
Execute new brand depletions and retail placement sell‑through.
Act as liaison between Chain Account Managers and Retail Specialist team.
Recruit new talent (create sales routes, review resumes, conduct interviews).
Travel within assigned geographic areas and meet driving requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
5+ years of sales experience, 3+ years in spirits or wine industry.
2+ years of managerial experience with a sales team.
Experience in startup environment and proven track record of success.
Steadfast work ethic, entrepreneurial spirit, resilience.
Proficient in MS Office; strong understanding of cost/pricing methodology.
Ability to manage individuals to exceed goals and meet metrics.
Professional appearance and communication at all times.
Responsive to emails, calls, and information requests.
Accounts receivable collection management.
Physical ability to lift and carry 40+ pound case of wine.
Flexible hours including evenings, weekends.
Strong written, verbal, analytical, interpersonal skills.
Organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
Self‑motivated and able to work independently or in team.
Goal‑oriented, focused, assertive, needs minimal supervision.
Excellent communication and interpersonal talents to enhance customer and retailer relationships.
