Urology Specialists of the Carolinas is now seeking a full-time medical assistant to join our team of dedicated professionals in several locations. Urology Specialists of the Carolinas has been a well-established practice in the Charlotte region. Following a merger of three independent urology groups, we have now become a dynamic physician-led organization with over seventy providers dedicated to delivering exceptional urological care across Charlotte, Greensboro, and Hickory.
The Registered/Certified Medical Assistant will provide high-quality patient care and assist healthcare providers in a clinical setting.
Duties may include:
Performs clinical duties in a medical setting, such as scheduling appointments, taking patient histories, and recording vital signs.
Assist healthcare providers during medical exams, including preparing exam rooms, sterilizing medical instruments, and explaining procedures to patients.
Administers medications and immunizations as directed by healthcare providers.
Conducts basic laboratory tests and performs phlebotomy procedures, including collecting and preparing specimens for testing.
Performs basic medical procedures, such as dressing changes, wound care, and suture removals.
Manages and maintains medical records, including patient charts, test results, and other important medical information.
Assists with patient education and provides information on medical conditions, treatment plans, and preventative care measures.
Answers, triages and responds timely to calls and messages.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma or general equivalency (GED)
