Job Summary
Northwest Career College is seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for mentorship and training to join its team of instructors. The ideal candidate is excited by the prospect of helping NCC's diverse student population achieve their professional goals, but also enjoys the individual nature of administrative work, as there is a relatively even division between both types of responsibilities in this position.
Roles and Responsibilities
Mentor students on professionalism expectations within the workplace.
Manage hands‑on training activities for students in accordance with the NCC curriculum.
Provide feedback to students about how to improve their hands‑on skills.
Grade student practical examinations.
Manage online classroom group discussions with students.
Grade student participation in online discussions and various other assignments.
Regularly review and respond to email correspondence with students and staff.
Support departmental efforts with purchasing and inventory management.
Participate in professional development in alignment with teaching assignments.
Participate in department meetings, faculty meetings, and in‑service training sessions.
Attend graduation ceremonies and other events as required by the College.
Dress professionally in accordance with the faculty dress code.
Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.
Experience
Required:
2‑3 years in‑field experience.
Required:
Anatomy, Physiology, and Kinesiology knowledge.
Preferred:
Lead Massage Therapist/training experience.
Skills and Qualifications
Must have a minimum of two years of work experience in the massage therapy field (with diploma, degree, or certificate).
Must have a minimum of three years of work experience in the massage therapy field (WITHOUT diploma, degree, or certificate).
Successful completion of high school, its equivalent, or a state‑authorized examination certificate is required.
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Knowledge of and ability to apply relevant current education methodologies and techniques.
License / Certification
Required:
Active Nevada State Board of Massage Therapy License.
Required:
HS Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: Degree, diploma, or certificate in the field.
Job Type Part Time
Schedule Monday: 4 p.m. – 10 p.m. Tuesday: 4 p.m. – 10 p.m. Wednesday: 4 p.m. – 10 p.m. Thursday: 4 p.m. – 10 p.m. Friday–Sunday: Off
Salary $28,800/Annually – Based on work status, prior education, and experience.
