Role Description This is a part-time, on-site role for an Associate Therapist based in Tempe, AZ. We are primarily looking for someone that has availability M/T/W after 1p. The Associate Therapist will provide therapeutic services to clients, including conducting individual, couples, and family therapy sessions. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate client records, developing treatment plans, collaborating with supervisors and colleagues, and engaging in ongoing professional development. Therapists must be excited and competent in working with various specialty populations/presentations: Veterans and their families, LGBTQIA+ community, Neurodivergence, Trauma including childhood and sexual abuse, First and Second Generation Immigrants.
Qualifications
Strong counseling skills, including individual therapy, couples therapy, and family therapy or a willingness to learn these skills actively
Knowledge of Systems Theory, EFT or Gottman, trauma specific modalities (CPT, TFCBT, and/or EMDR), Solution Focused, and Narrative Therapy
Proficiency in maintaining detailed client records and creating treatment plans; able to maintain all practice and state timelines for documentation
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Commitment to professional ethics, cultural competence, and engaging in ongoing learning opportunities
Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy preferred, Counseling and Social Work will also be considered
Licensed as an Associate Licensed Counselor (e.g., LAMFT, LMSW, LAC, or similar) in Arizona
Previous experience in therapy or counseling preferred
Must have, or submit an application for, an AZ fingerprint clearance card
