Work location: Texas Health Plano: 6200 West Parker Road, Plano, TX 75093
Work hours: Day shift (7a-7p) rotating weekends/holidays
Medical Surgical Unit Department Highlights
Med Surgical unit of 24 beds
Our Nurses improve the quality of care for med surgical patients such as surgeries and stroke with multiple comorbidities.
Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team
What You Will Need
Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred
CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)
Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
2 years of RN experience in cardiac or telemetry preferred
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req And
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Req And
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Req
What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
assesses the patient
plans the care of the patient
intervenes as appropriate
evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
