CUMULUS MEDIA | Buffalo, NY currently features 5 stations in the Buffalo/Niagara Falls area. Our stations include: 97Rock WGRF-FM Classic Rock, 103.3 The Edge WEDG-FM, Classic Hits 104.1 WHTT, 1270 Talk WHLD-AM, & 98.9 The Vibe WBBF-AM. The cluster of 5 stations reaches over 300,000 listeners on a weekly basis.
Position Overview Part‑time Promotions Assistant. General office duties and community outreach; represent Cumulus stations at events, set‑up and breakdown of pop‑up tents and tables, banner hanging, on‑site activations. Lift 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and drive station vehicles with attached trailers.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in planning, organizing and executing promotional events and digital campaigns.
Execute proper technical and physical set‑up and breakdown of remote broadcasts and station events; troubleshoot and resolve issues on the fly.
Represent stations at events with an upbeat, outgoing and friendly manner.
Data entry of promotional events and contests.
Create e‑blasts, social media posts and website posts; review promotional information and graphics.
Inventory and maintenance of prize closet, calendars and events for current and upcoming promotions.
Assist the Promotions and Marketing Department with projects as needed in the office.
Assist with vehicle inspections, fuel and coordinating maintenance.
Maintain and storage of station equipment.
Qualifications
No experience necessary; customer service experience helpful.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Reliable; flexible schedule and available to work at least 20 hours per week, including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
May require lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
Outgoing, energetic, detail‑oriented and responsible.
Proficient using computers and Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Multi‑tasking abilities.
Event experience a plus.
Works well with a variety of personalities.
Passion and desire to perform at a high level in a competitive environment.
Positive attitude, even in stressful situations, is a must.
Desire and bravado to share innovative ideas with team.
Strong social media skills.
Pay Range $15.50 / hour (part‑time).
