Position Summary The Marketing Manager leads and executes marketing strategy for the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce (BACC) in alignment with the BACC’s Strategic Plan and annual goals. This role focuses on strategic marketing, brand management, campaign development, digital marketing, and promotion of programs and events that advance the BACC’s mission and value. Communications and media relations are included but function in support of broader marketing strategy, with an emphasis on proactive, goal-driven marketing that delivers organizational results.
This position works closely with the Marketing Director of the Broken Arrow Economic Development Corporation (BAEDC) to maintain a unified marketing framework. Each role remains responsible for its own organization while collaborating on shared messaging, branding, co-branded initiatives, and select cross-organizational projects.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute annual marketing plan aligned with the BACC’s strategic plan and goals
Translate strategic priorities into integrated marketing campaigns that support membership, sponsorships, programs, and events
Establish clear marketing objectives, timelines, and performance measures
Ensure marketing efforts are proactive, strategic, and outcomes-focused
Collaborate with internal teams to align marketing with organizational objectives
Brand Management & Visual Identity
Serve as steward of the brand, ensuring consistent visual identity, tone, and messaging
Produce and oversee high-quality graphic design and marketing materials across digital and print platforms
Maintain brand standards while supporting co-branded initiatives with the BAEDC and community partners
Digital Marketing & Platforms
Manage and maintain websites, ensuring current, engaging, and user-friendly content
Oversee social media presence with a marketing-first approach focused on campaigns, engagement, and value creation
Develop and execute digital campaigns across email, social, and web platforms
Monitor performance metrics and adjust strategies to improve results
Event, Program & Member Marketing
Lead marketing efforts for the BACC’s programs, initiatives, and signature events
Collaborate with programming and events staff to develop integrated marketing timelines and promotional strategies
Capture and curate photography and visual content at the BACC’s events
Support membership recruitment, retention, and sponsorship marketing through targeted campaigns and materials
Communications & Media Relations (Marketing-Aligned)
Develop and manage communications that support marketing objectives, campaigns, and brand positioning
Prepare and distribute press releases and media content
Develop and maintain relationships with local and regional media partners
Ensure external communications reinforce strategic messaging and organizational priorities
Internal & Cross-Organizational Collaboration
Provide marketing guidance and support to the BACC’s staff to ensure consistency and quality
Support special projects, campaigns, and organizational priorities as assigned
Collaborate with the BAEDC Marketing Director to maintain unified messaging and branding and to execute co-branded and cross-organizational marketing initiatives
Participate in regular coordination to ensure clarity of roles, responsibilities, and timelines
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or equivalent experience
Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible marketing experience
Experience managing websites, email platforms, and social media
Proficiency with modern marketing platforms including content management systems, email marketing tools, and social media management software
Working knowledge of artificial intelligence tools used to enhance marketing effectiveness, efficiency, and insight preferred Experience with analytics and reporting tools for evaluating marketing performance and informing strategy adjustments
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and stakeholders simultaneously
Experience supporting strategic plan execution through marketing
Experience in chambers, economic development, or membership organizations preferred
Professional, collaborative, and proactive
Comfortable balancing independent and team-based work
Comfortable adopting new tools and technologies, including AI-enabled marketing tools, to improve efficiency and outcomes while maintaining sound professional judgment and brand integrity
Adaptable and solutions-oriented

Must possess sight and hearing sufficient to perform essential functions of the position.
Must be able to stand and move intermittently throughout the workday.
May be required to sit, stand, walk, or drive for extended periods of time.
May be required to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
Working Conditions & Environmental Exposures
Work is regularly performed in both a climate-controlled office environment and frequently performed at off-site locations throughout the community.
Noise levels and environmental conditions will vary depending on location.
This position requires frequent attendance at meetings and events.
No environmental hazards are encountered in performance of normal job duties.
This role may require occasional local travel and the ability to adapt to multiple types of workspaces.
This position may require occasional travel within and outside the State of Oklahoma by car and/or airplane.
Extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, and driving may be necessary.
