Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain a healthy, safe environment and provide nutritional and environmental support.
Assist clients with personal hygiene, toileting, dressing, walking, and feeding.
Position the client as instructed.
Support certain treatments and therapies under the physician’s order and nursing supervisor approval.
Remind clients to take medications.
Assist with bill payment and errands when authorized, documenting all actions on the aide charting sheet.
Report important changes in client condition to the agency or nursing supervisor.
Use medical supplies and equipment appropriately.
Provide emotional support and foster a trusting relationship.
Encourage client independence.
Qualifications & Education
At least 18 years old.
Certificate from a Home Health Aide or Personal Care Aide training program meeting state requirements, with current in‑service education to maintain certification.
Maturity and empathy for working with patients, families, and agency staff.
Strong interest in caring for sick and disabled individuals.
A Home Health Aide Must
Get along well with others.
Be dependable, trustworthy, and compliant with agency policies.
Maintain in‑service requirements per state and agency regulations.
Show empathy and sensitivity to clients’ feelings.
Be neatly dressed with good personal hygiene.
Maintain good health habits, including regular physical and dental exams.
Wear an identification badge while on duty.
Functional Abilities
Able to lift, turn, and transfer clients.
Lift up to 50 pounds.
Stoop and bend as required.
Good visual and hearing acuity for written and verbal communication.
Speak clearly so average listeners can understand.
Deliver direct care per the client’s plan of care.
Perform a variety of tasks under the nursing supervisor’s direction.
Work Environment
Regular exposure to client surroundings with occasional stress.
Pay $19.10–$21.00 per hour.

Job Types & Hours Full‑time, Part‑time, Temporary. Expected hours: 21–40 per week.
