Responsibilities
Reports directly to the nurse manager and may take direction from licensed nurses on duty or other supervisory staff.
Provides direct care to residents on a daily basis.
Assists with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services.
Assists residents with basic personal care as per procedures and daily assignments (bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toilet, grooming, feeding, transportation/transfer, etc.).
Maintains resident rooms clean and orderly – light housekeeping, changing linens, making beds, tidying bedside tables, cleaning bathrooms, etc.
Assists with resident laundry ensuring clothes are marked, clean, mended, ironed, and put away; notifies supervisor of clothing needs.
Prepares residents for meals, assists with serving meals and feeding.
May be cross‑trained in Assisted Living.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.
Completion and passing the approved Nursing Assistant program in the state.
Listed on the State’s Health Nursing Assistant Registry.
Compensation $19.13 - $23.33 per hour.
