Position Summary:

The Product Tester ensures CPC’s products function correctly by reviewing requirements, testing new features, identifying issues, and working with teams to support smooth, high-quality releases. This role helps maintain product reliability by applying QA best practices, documenting findings clearly, and collaborating across departments in a fast‑moving environment. Preferred candidates may also assist with more technical testing tasks that require deeper system knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of all CPC products, testing procedures, and release schedules.

Document defects clearly, track them through their full lifecycle, and retest until resolved.

Collaborate with product managers, developers, contractors, and other stakeholders to confirm requirements and ensure full test coverage.

Apply a strong understanding of software development processes, system architecture concepts, and QA best practices.

Convert user stories, acceptance criteria, and workflow diagrams into well‑structured test cases.

Work effectively in Agile/Scrum environments alongside cross‑functional teams.

Participate in product release sessions—including occasional after‑hours sessions—to validate quality before deployment.

Perform automated testing for mobile and web applications, including functional, regression, and performance testing.

Conduct advanced technical testing on complex components requiring deeper system access or developer‑level tools.

Qualifications

2 years’ experience writing and maintaining test scripts.

2 years’ experience with mobile application testing (iOS/Android).

Proven ability to coordinate testing sessions and lead small teams.

Demonstrated experience with different testing techniques (functional, stress, unit, UI, integration).

Experience with bug tracking and test management tools.

Basic understanding of programming concepts and languages.

Preferred hands‑on experience with automated mobile and web application testing, including functional, regression, and performance testing.

Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Non‑technical Requirements

Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and manage time and tasks effectively.

Strong collaboration skills with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.

Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced Agile environment with frequent priority shifts.
