Team Overview The Data Center Infrastructure Delivery team at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is a dynamic group of professionals dedicated to delivering state‑of‑the‑art data center facilities at scale and at pace. The team comprises experienced project managers who work collaboratively with vendors and internal teams to ensure the successful execution of complex data center construction and network projects. They bring a wealth of expertise in project management, technical design, and on‑site construction, ensuring that our data centers meet the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and sustainability. This team plays a crucial role in supporting Oracle Cloud Infrastructure’s data needs and driving our growth and success.
Job Summary Strategically, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive plans that optimize efficiency, cost‑effectiveness, and operational excellence in delivery. You will engage with key stakeholders, manage high‑stakes vendor relationships, and navigate the complexities of regulatory compliance. Your ability to anticipate and mitigate risks to data‑center delivery will be crucial in maintaining project timelines and budgets. This is a high‑impact role that will lead, drive, and ensure the successful management and delivery of critical initiatives on our strategic roadmap. The role comes with a high degree of personal accountability and autonomy and will require effective engagement across Design, Engineering and Operations. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to own end‑to‑end delivery of network and data center capacity across concurrent builds.
Responsibilities
Lead the end‑to‑end program, shaping the approach to achieve desired outcomes through delivery.
Develop and implement long‑term strategies for data center construction and network build projects to align with organizational goals.
Collaborate with the design team to ensure design and construction are fully coordinated before contracting.
Work with the construction team to ensure smooth collaboration and seamless handoffs.
Oversee all phases of complex data center construction projects, ensuring timely, on‑budget completion to required quality standards.
Coordinate tenant fit‑out and LV integration throughout design, construction, commissioning and LV fit‑out to fully integrate separate scopes with the overall project scope.
Select, negotiate, and manage external vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project success.
Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost‑effective use of resources and adherence to financial constraints.
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on timelines and costs.
Maintain clear and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing concerns.
Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure the highest construction and operational efficiency standards.
Conduct regular project visits throughout the project life to ensure schedule, coordination, and quality.
