Partner with the best. As a Coating Cell Operator, you’ll be operating the coating booth applying thermal spray to complex gas turbine components. Using OEM drawings & specifications while maintaining safety as the top priority. Performs quality inspections throughout the coating process meeting all engineering requirements to maintain the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
Having knowledge of coating operations, coating equipment, fixtures, and parameters for the coating process for various gas turbine components
Have the ability to prepare, mask, and grit blast components to the appropriate surface finish
Have the ability to coat parts both via plasma and HVOF processes with various powders and properly collect all required samples
Have the ability to run robotic programs and controls as required and program from scratch
Having equipment knowledge to properly maintain the coating booth in top operating condition and possess good troubleshooting skills to quickly diagnose and resolve any issues
Working closely with engineers, repair technicians, and machinists to apply the appropriate amount of coating to meet all requirements
Operating forklifts, cranes, and other material-moving equipment
Have the ability to perform various other assembly and repair duties in a turbine repair shop when the coating cell is not in use
Qualifications
Have a high school diploma or GED
Have 5+ years of coating experience
Have experience with forklifts and other departmental equipment, machines, hand tools, and power tools needed for assembly
Have experience with coating equipment, preferably gas turbine equipment
Have in-depth knowledge of gas turbines
Shift Options
1 shift: M-F, 6am-1:30pm
2nd Shift: M-F – 2pm – 10:30pm
