Services Training Material Developer

Core Responsibilities
Create and design training programs, courses, and materials for different learning audiences.
Develop a variety of training materials, including e‑learning modules, manuals, presentations, job aids, and videos.
Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather information and ensure content is accurate, relevant, and up‑to‑date.
Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and determine training requirements.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and other metrics.
Maintain and update existing training materials to keep them current.
Use multimedia and e‑learning authoring tools, and manage content on a Learning Management System (LMS).
Facilitate training sessions or workshops as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Instructional design – strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
Technical proficiency – experience with common software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint) and multimedia tools.
Technology familiarity – familiar with e‑learning development tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and LMS.
Communication – excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with SMEs and stakeholders.
Analytical thinking – ability to analyze training needs and evaluate program effectiveness.
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field common or preferred.
Additional Responsibilities
Develop learning performance products such as job aids, guides, interactive PDFs, micro‑learning video series, vodcasts, SCORM‑based eLearning objects, and reusable learning objects.
Collaborate with SMEs to collect content, gain input during iterative development, and receive sign‑off at the SME level.
Present solution design to senior stakeholders at project launch and identified milestones.
Defend approach taken to solve performance needs targeted.
Consult facilitators (trainers) for ILT or VILT solutions early in development.
Participate in Train‑The‑Trainer to ensure vision is delivered during delivery.
Define and write learning objectives tied to business objectives and evaluation strategy.
Manage documentation, originals, versions, and final products following folder hierarchy and repositories.
Continuously upskill in learning profession, keep current on trends, obtain relevant certificates and certifications.
Communicate effectively and efficiently, in written and verbal.
Other responsibilities as assigned by manager or management.

Who are you?
You have a bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education, Organizational Development, or equivalent.
You have at least 5 years of experience designing and developing innovative learning solutions, including curriculum development.
You have experience in eLearning authoring tools, learning technologies, mobile learning, or human performance improvement.
It is preferred that you have experience in the bus, heavy duty or medium duty truck or automotive industry.
