Senior Staff Auditor, Global Payment Network (Hybrid) Capital One

is seeking an energetic, self‑motivated Senior Auditor to join our Audit team and focus on the Global Payment Network, platforms, technologies, and related operations such as credit/debit processing, digital payments, acquiring, and settlement operations. The role requires demonstrated knowledge of payments network operations and ecosystem risks, risk management, and regulatory expectations for a large financial institution.

Responsibilities

Design and execute audit procedures to verify the effectiveness of internal controls.

Document auditee processes, review and analyze evidence, and identify potential issues.

Leverage available data and analytical tools during planning and fieldwork.

Prepare clear, organized documentation to support work performed, including draft findings.

Establish and maintain good client and team relations during engagements, communicating audit progress effectively.

Self‑prioritize and plan work activities, managing multiple priorities and tasks to deliver quality results.

Seek out learning opportunities to enhance skills and competencies related to the role.

Travel Expectations The associate will be expected to travel an average of 10–15% of the time.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or military experience.

At least 2 years of experience in auditing, accounting, financial analysis, compliance, or a combination.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or MBA.

Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or relevant certification.

1+ years of experience leading audits and performing in the role of auditor‑in‑charge.

1+ years of experience in banking or financial services.

1+ years of experience performing data analysis to support internal auditing.
