About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated
Assistant Controller
to join our dynamic Accounting and Finance team in
Fort Myers, FL . This position will play a pivotal role in managing the financial health of our organization by overseeing financial procedures, auditing processes, and budget preparations.
Base Pay Range $95,000.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Assisting in the preparation of financial reports such as statements and budget performance.
Ensuring compliance with laws and company policies.
Managing journal entries, invoices, and reconciling accounts for the monthly or annual closing.
Assisting in the preparation of budgets or forecasts.
Participating in preparation for the annual audit.
Helping in the development of reports for management or regulatory bodies.
Reviewing the company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances.
Utilizing the accounting IT system to facilitate processes and maintain records.
Assisting in the streamlining of accounting procedures by researching and implementing new software applications.
Managing and overseeing payroll procedures to ensure timely and accurate processing.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA is required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role with a focus on accounting and finance.
Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations.
Excellent knowledge and understanding of ledger functions and payroll procedures.
Proficiency in major accounting software packages for both general ledger and payroll.
Excellent mathematical skills and understanding of data privacy standards.
Strong analytical skills with thorough attention to detail.
Exceptional leadership and management skills with a demonstrable history of managing a team.
Superior written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work comfortably with numbers and maintain attention to detail.
Outstanding problem‑solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
