Associate Property Manager (Floating) (Temporary), Multifamily
Associate Property Managers maintain communities to a market‑ready standard, ensuring high levels of service at all times and building and motivating high‑performing teams to maximize property performance.
Temporary position covering someone on leave.
Essential Job Duties
Assist the Regional Property Manager with overall building operations.
Ensure smooth running of the community in a fast‑paced environment.
Oversee all operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, audits, etc.
Provide superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects.
Complete lease/renewal paperwork to company standards.
Track and evaluate advertising and client traffic.
Lead by example, instill and model the Cushman & Wakefield mission.
Supervise day‑to‑day operations of the entire on‑site team, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
Maintain staffing through interviewing, hiring, and coaching.
Maintain resident files per company standards.
Maintain a positive living environment through conflict resolution and follow‑up.
Manage overall community budget and finances.
Work with leasing staff to ensure leasing/marketing goals are met.
Competencies
Effective communication and customer service skills.
Computer literate, including Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation skills.
General office, bookkeeping and sales skills and excellent written and oral communication.
Determine leasing opportunities for staff and set performance goals.
Supervise day‑to‑day team operations and ensure policy adherence.
Work with leasing staff to achieve marketing goals.
Team management ability.
Perform related duties as required.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
High School Diploma, GED, Technical or Vocational school required.
Experience
3+ years of Property Management experience.
1+ year of Management experience.
Work Environment Professional office environment using computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines; regular travel between properties in varying weather conditions.
Physical Demands May need to travel between floors, climb stairs, walk and use hands to operate office machinery. Mostly stationary (85% of time); regular walking, talking, hearing required.
Other Duties Responsibilities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
