Card Services Specialist
Equity Bank, a full-service community bank, is hiring a Full-Time Card Services Specialist in Wichita, KS to join our Card Services department. The role focuses on processing debit and credit card transactions and maintaining customer relationships while adhering to regulatory and security standards.
Responsibilities and Expectations
Process new debit and credit card orders, perform card maintenance, and review weekly and monthly card reports.
Receive, prepare, process, and post all credit card applications and increase requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established policies.
Respond to and resolve internal and external customer inquiries regarding debit and credit card accounts in a friendly, professional, and prompt manner.
Process payments, adjustments, return mail, balance transfers, and other credit card maintenance activities.
Identify and report fraudulent transactions to MasterCard and networks as appropriate.
Research, evaluate, and recommend new procedures to enhance the efficiency of the debit and credit card program; work closely with MasterCard and vendors.
Stay current on fraud trends for debit and credit cards and promptly report any identified issues to management.
Assist in researching potential BIN or card level breaches or fraud to protect the bank and maintain customer satisfaction.
Review and post entries for credit card settlement daily.
Update policies and procedures regularly to keep documentation current.
Process debit and credit card disputes in accordance with Regulation E.
Cross‑train with other department members to ensure coverage of all duties.
Maintain organization, attention to detail, and self‑motivation while prioritizing tasks.
Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing; learn new system processes quickly.
Demonstrate strong time‑management skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent.
3–5 years of experience in a financial institution handling debit and credit card accounts.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Knowledge of the FIS debit and credit card platform.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Strong administrative and customer service skills.

Physical Requirements This position requires standing, walking, bending, and squatting on a regular basis. The role may require the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to carry, lift, move, or push up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis and must be able to talk and listen to others.
Work Environment The role is performed in an office setting and involves regular use of computers and electronic media.
