Executive Controller Job Description As the Executive Controller for all Finishes Solutions portfolio. This roll will have full oversight into all companies accounting activities, including financial reporting, budgeting, and payroll. Key responsibilities include managing the accounting team, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing financial analysis to support executive decision-making. The controller is responsible for internal controls, tax compliance, and safeguarding the company's financial health.

Detailed Job Responsibilities

Financial Reporting: Preparing and maintaining accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, such as balance sheets and income statements, in compliance with accounting standards like GAAP.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Managing budgets and creating financial forecasts to project future revenues and expenses.

Oversight of Accounting Processes: Supervising the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

Internal Controls: Developing and implementing internal controls to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting and prevent fraud.

Auditing: Coordinating with external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure compliance with policies.

Compliance: Ensuring the company complies with tax laws and other relevant regulations.

Financial Analysis: Analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and providing reports and strategic recommendations to senior management.

Payroll and Tax Management: Overseeing the payroll process and managing all income tax filings.

Skills And Qualifications

Technical Skills: Advanced accounting and financial reporting skills are essential. Experience with financial software and data analysis tools is also important.

Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership and communication skills are necessary to manage the accounting team and present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Analytical and Strategic Thinking: The role requires the ability to analyze financial data, identify opportunities for improvement, and contribute to strategic financial planning.

Experience: Typically requires several years of accounting experience.

Education: A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is usually required, and professional certifications (like a CPA) are often beneficial.
