Senior Accountant – Arlington, VA Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a client in Arlington, VA seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. This position is responsible for managing general ledger activities, preparing financial statements, supporting month‑end and year‑end close processes, and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for month‑end and year‑end close.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Analyze variances and trends to provide insights into financial performance.
Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Assist with process improvements and implementation of best practices within the accounting function.
