Role Responsibilities
System Management:
Monitor and manage AWS‑focused systems and infrastructure.
Platform Operations:
Build and maintain a platform for cloud and on‑premise application provisioning and operation.
Configuration and Maintenance:
Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, software, and infrastructure tools.
CI/CD Development:
Develop a continuous integration and deployment platform integrated with development tools.
Developer Experience:
Enhance developer experience in cloud infrastructure and application deployment.
Policy and Guidelines:
Develop policies, standards, and guidelines for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD processes.
Automation:
Implement workflow and toolchain improvements for task automation.
Required Skills and Experience
Experience:
Minimum 5 years in a professional Platform Engineering role.
Cloud Proficiency:
Securely deploy and manage AWS applications, with cloud‑native tooling and security best practices.
Scripting Skills:
Proficiency in Python.
Docker Proficiency:
Experience with Docker containerisation for software deployment and scalability.
CI/CD Expertise:
Automate software build, test, and deployment pipelines following agile methodologies.
Terraform Exposure:
Beneficial experience with Terraform.
Observability Tools:
Experience with Grafana and Splunk is beneficial, particularly in developing and applying an observability strategy across a large organisation.
