Job Details We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and dedicated Permanent Associate Attorney to join our legal team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled litigator who is looking to take their career to the next level within a fast‑paced, highly respected law firm. The successful candidate will be a key player in our litigation team, handling complex legal cases, and providing top‑notch legal advice to our diverse clientele.

Responsibilities

Represent clients in court and before government agencies, presenting well‑prepared, organized, and clear arguments on their behalf.

Conduct extensive legal research to support case preparation and legal proceedings.

Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, motions, appeals, contracts, and depositions.

Manage all phases of the litigation process from investigation, pleadings, and discovery through pre‑trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.

Negotiate settlements to resolve disputes in favor of our clients.

Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with clients, court personnel, and other parties.

Keep abreast of changes in laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide accurate legal advice.

Participate in business development activities to attract and retain clients.

Collaborate with the legal team to develop effective case strategies.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Judicial clerkship experience.

Admission to the Alabama State Bar and in good standing.

Exceptional knowledge of civil litigation procedures, rules of evidence, and local, state, and federal laws.

Excellent negotiation, research, and communication skills.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with the capacity to handle complex legal issues.

Ability to manage multiple cases and projects, with a high degree of attention to detail and organization.

Proficiency in legal research tools and software.

Commitment to uphold the ethics and standards of the legal profession.
