A respected criminal defense practice in New York City is seeking a mid-level associate with strong trial instincts. This role offers direct client contact, courtroom advocacy, and meaningful responsibility on complex criminal matters. Key Responsibilities
Maintain direct client contact and manage primary client relationships
Represent clients in court and before government agencies
Research, prepare, draft, and file legal documents
Negotiate settlements and resolutions in criminal matters
Oversee administrative and management functions, including mentoring junior attorneys
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from a top‑15 law school
Admission to the New York State Bar required
Minimum of 4 years of legal experience, preferably in criminal defense or investigations, or 3 years plus a judicial clerkship
Demonstrated interest in criminal law and jury trial work
Strong written, oral, and analytical skills
