Job Description Act as liaison between Mountaire Farms and independent contract growers. Monitor and promote proper animal husbandry and animal welfare procedures consistent with industry standards through documented weekly flock visitations and effective communication. Understand animal welfare and biosecurity guidelines as they pertain to company certification. Promote company procedures and programs to independent contract growers to obtain top performance. Complete flock testing so flocks can be processed on time. Train contract growers on best management practices on farm biosecurity.
Responsibilities
Weekly Flock Visit/Grower Communications: Monitor and promote proper animal husbandry and animal welfare procedures consistent with industry standards through documented weekly flock visitations and effective communication. Promote company procedures and programs to independent contract growers to obtain top performance.
Weekly Production meeting/trainings: Provide direction and support to help growers achieve their goals.
Bird Health Diagnosis and Surveillance; PAW Quality Scoring.
Mortality, Weight, Feed Projections/Paperwork.
Safety: Ensure that all company safety guidelines and protocols are carried out.
Qualifications
Minimum Associates degree, Bachelor's preferred.
Minimum 1-2 Years in poultry production desired.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to follow and understand animal welfare and biosecurity guidelines as they pertain to company certification.
Can adapt to new policies & procedures quickly.
