NC/Laser Operator - 1st Shift

The NC Operator will set up and operate numerically controlled machines, primarily CNC lathes, manual lathes, and laser cutting equipment. The role involves interpreting route sheets and verbal instructions, producing high‑quality parts to exact specifications.
Responsibilities
Setting up and operating CNC turret punch presses and laser cutting machines.
Loading and unloading materials (sheet metal, etc.).
Running programs and making adjustments as needed.
Monitoring machine performance and troubleshooting issues.
Interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints to ensure parts meet specifications.
Measuring and inspecting finished parts using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Ensuring parts adhere to quality standards.
Identifying and reporting defects.
Selecting and installing appropriate tooling.
Performing machine setups and adjustments.
Maintaining tooling and equipment.
Conducting routine maintenance on machines.
Reporting equipment malfunctions.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
2–4 years of experience operating CNC turret punch presses and/or laser cutting machines.
Familiarity with brands such as Amada is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Proficiency in using measurement tools.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
Basic computer skills.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
Eligibility This is an ITAR facility; applicants must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents.
Compensation and Benefits Salary:
$58,240 – $64,480 annually ($28.00–$31.00 per hour). Pay will be based on experience, education, and skills. Benefits include health insurance, life & disability coverage, savings plan, paid holidays, PTO, potential RSU awards, and discretionary bonus program.
