Advanced Patient Service Representative – Full Time Join Mercy’s clinic practice as an Advanced Patient Service Representative. You will manage patient interactions, administrative tasks, and provide exceptional customer service.

Position Details Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Proficiency in both Patient Services Representative and advanced competencies, as verified by department leader.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance practices, and billing procedures.

Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients, healthcare professionals, and staff.

Basic computer skills, including data entry and word processing.

Excellent customer service: empathetic, patient-focused, and ability to handle inquiries with tact and diplomacy.

Accuracy and attention to detail for entering patient information, scheduling appointments, and processing documentation.

Maintain confidentiality and follow privacy policy. Demonstrating discretion and patient privacy.

Adaptable; work effectively under pressure, handling unexpected situations with professionalism and composure.

Problem resolution: address concerns, complaints, and issues in a professional and timely manner, escalating complex problems as necessary.

Physical Requirements

Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. occasionally.

Standing and walking during each shift.

Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
