CPM Scheduler
to join our project team and support the planning, scheduling, and coordination of electrical construction activities for facility and building projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction sequencing, critical path methodology, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain detailed CPM schedules using Primavera P6 for electrical construction activities on facility and building projects
Create baseline schedules that integrate electrical scope with overall project milestones and dependencies
Establish logical relationships, constraints, and critical path analysis for all project activities
Coordinate with project managers and field superintendents to ensure schedules reflect accurate work sequences and durations
Project Coordination & Communication
Facilitate schedule coordination meetings with general contractors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
Analyze schedule impacts from design changes, RFIs, submittals, and unforeseen conditions
Provide schedule updates and recovery plans to maintain project deadlines
Generate progress reports, look-ahead schedules, and executive summaries for internal teams and clients
Analysis & Problem Solving
Perform critical path analysis and identify potential schedule risks or conflicts
Develop what-if scenarios and alternative schedule solutions to mitigate delays
Track and document schedule changes, delays, and their impacts on project completion
Support claims documentation and schedule impact analysis when necessary
Resource & Cost Integration
Coordinate manpower loading and resource allocation with field operations
Support project managers in evaluating schedule impacts on labor, materials, and equipment
Assist with integration of schedule data into project cost tracking systems
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in construction scheduling, preferably with electrical or MEP contractors
Proficiency in Primavera P6 (required)
Strong understanding of CPM scheduling principles and critical path methodology
Knowledge of electrical construction means, methods, and sequencing for commercial/institutional projects
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with facility projects including hospitals, universities, data centers, or commercial office buildings
Familiarity with scheduling standards (DCMA 14-Point Assessment, AACE guidelines)
Knowledge of BIM coordination and integration with scheduling platforms
PSP (Planning and Scheduling Professional) certification or willingness to obtain
Experience with schedule delay analysis and claims support
Additional
We are looking for permanent employees, not 1099 contracted labor.
This position is anticipated to be primarily virtual but there may be some site visits.
