Atlanta, GA or Greenville, SC. No C2C Inquiries! ASAP is hiring on behalf of one of our clients for a Senior Piping Designer to support innovative water and wastewater treatment projects. We’re seeking a Senior Piping Designer to support our client’s Treatment Practice, delivering impactful water and wastewater infrastructure projects from either the Atlanta, GA or Greenville, SC office. In this role, you’ll lead the development of detailed design packages, coordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams, and partner with engineers to deliver high-quality, constructible solutions. The ideal candidate is a technically strong designer with proven leadership abilities and a passion for using advanced design and BIM technologies to improve efficiency, quality, and project outcomes. Key Responsibilities

Lead BIM/VDC strategy, standards, and workflows on water and wastewater treatment projects Develop and coordinate detailed piping, equipment layout, and design drawings using Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Plant 3D Collaborate with engineering and project teams to execute BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and resolve design conflicts Perform clash detection, model coordination, and quality control to ensure constructible designs Maintain BIM content libraries and ensure compliance with CAD/BIM standards Provide technical leadership, troubleshooting, and mentorship to junior designers Participate in field investigations, site visits, and as‑built documentation Explore and implement emerging technologies such as laser scanning, drone data, VR/AR, and automation tools to enhance project delivery Qualifications

8+ years of experience in water/wastewater design, including 4+ years in BIM/VDC leadership or coordination Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred Advanced proficiency in Revit, Civil 3D, and Plant 3D Strong experience with piping design, equipment layout, structural coordination, and municipal standards Working knowledge of construction methods, material specifications, and SCADA/control integration Familiarity with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Dynamo, Python, or BIM automation is a plus Proven ability to manage complex models, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively across teams Professional licensure or certifications (AIA, PE, LEED AP) preferred but not required Why This Opportunity
