Role Summary The Strategic Marketing Partner II is a seasoned strategist embedded within specific business units to drive alignment between business goals and marketing execution. The role leads the development, execution, and analysis of product strategies, initiatives, and planning within their designated area. Serving as a trusted advisor to business line leaders, the partner translates insights into actionable go‑to‑market strategies and directs integrated marketing plans. Responsibilities include assessing industry trends, evaluating competitive positioning, and leveraging data to grow market share and product penetration. The ideal candidate blends analytical rigor, strategic thinking, and influential leadership to deliver member‑centric marketing that drives measurable impact.
What You Will Be Doing
Build strong relationships with assigned business unit leaders to understand strategic priorities, challenges, and opportunities.
Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies that align with business objectives and member needs.
Lead cross‑functional collaboration with product, digital, operations, and member experience teams to ensure cohesive marketing execution.
Use marketing research and analysis to uncover audience insights, behavioral trends, and competitive dynamics; lead development of campaigns.
Monitor campaign performance and member impact across all channels and markets, providing timely reporting and optimization recommendations.
Partner with marketing analytics to ensure strategies are informed by robust data and performance metrics.
Represent marketing in business unit planning sessions and contribute to strategic decision‑making.
Support the AVP in aligning business unit marketing efforts with credit union marketing goals and standards.
Become an expert in product lines and services; perform regular SWOT analyses to recommend product positioning, pricing, and enhancements.
Maintain understanding of economic, regulatory, and competitive influences affecting specific product lines and markets.
Develop comprehensive marketing plans and calendars for assigned products and services.
Manage projects with limited supervision, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
Lead and direct projects to ensure scope, schedule, and budget alignment.
Produce reporting statistics and update stakeholders on status.
Assist with allocating marketing department resources such as scheduling, briefing, production, and campaign execution.
Coordinate media placements, vendor relationships, and internal communications to keep staff informed of marketing activities.
Understand and perform BSA functions applicable to job responsibilities.
Attend training sessions, conferences, or seminars as approved; maintain awareness of relevant policies and regulations.
Display leadership values of mutual respect, honesty, trust, and dignity; lead by example with solid ethics and integrity.
Maintain and protect sensitive data with the highest standard of confidentiality and professionalism.
About You
Proven ability to develop and execute marketing plans based on business insights.
Strong command of marketing analysis, research methodologies, and performance tracking.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable strategies.
Deep understanding of member behaviors and motivations.
Strong self‑starter and organizational skills; adept at building schedules, managing budgets, writing product plans, and meeting deadlines.
Proficient in computer applications and aware of graphic and video standards.
Work cohesively and successfully in a team environment.
Able to initiate and manage workflows, establish strong relationships with diverse partners, and negotiate with vendors and stakeholders on projects.
Qualifications
Four (4) year degree with emphasis in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, Management, Communications, or related field. Equivalent related work experience may be substituted in lieu of education requirements.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in marketing strategy, planning, or analytics.
Experience working within or alongside business units to drive marketing outcomes.
Demonstrated success in developing go‑to‑market strategies and integrated campaigns.
Experience researching, analyzing data, and making informed recommendations based on findings.
Proficiency with standard office equipment and business software, Mac, and Windows operating systems.
Experience with CRM platforms and working knowledge of marketing automation software is strongly preferred.
Comfortable in a fast‑paced, continuously changing, and sometimes ambiguous work environment.
Some travel is required to attend training, fulfill duties, and for career development as approved.
