Responsibilities
Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment (generators, transformers, switchboards, motors, heating units, conduit systems).
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, layouts, and technical specifications.
Diagnose electrical system and equipment trouble.
Conduct load calculations for wiring and equipment.
Use electrician hand tools, measuring and testing instruments.
Assist with cross utilization on Direct Mission support, range test areas, and coordination with other crews (welders, heavy equipment operators, carpenters, tower climbers).
Qualifications
Graduated from a vocational/military technical school, electrical training program, or certified electrician apprenticeship program.
Minimum three years practical experience in electrical repair and installations; at least two years in electrical installation/construction (conduit bending, threading, fitting, wire pulling, terminating).
Familiarity with the National Electrical Code.
Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Class "A" or "B" CDL driver’s license (if required).
Physical Demands Position requires crawling, bending, stooping, working in awkward positions, climbing tall structures, and working at heights for extended periods. May require climbing towers up to 300', working in extreme weather conditions, handling hazardous material, and operating industrial support equipment.
