Description The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for supervising skilled trades employees in support of production processes; supporting related automation and controls of manufacturing operations; and planning project operations and establishing priorities.
Responsibilities
Coordinate activities according to World Class Manufacturing (WCM) standards.
Coordinate the operation and training of the plant's Total Maintenance System (TMS), Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and plant schedules.
Build effective business relationships with plant leadership and customers.
Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrate troubleshooting and problem‑solving experience.
Lead, coach, mentor, and develop skilled trade employees.
Maintain a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Qualifications
High School Diploma and GED.
Minimum 3 years of industrial automation experience with project management experience.
Ability to work any shift and overtime as required.
Excellent organization, written and oral communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various levels of employees within all areas of the plant.
Goal‑oriented self‑starter with leadership ability.
Preferred Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a technical/engineering field.
Experience with continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing.
Experience leading maintenance teams in a union environment.
Green Belt/Red X/Six Sigma training.
Experience with controls, robotics, drives, system‑level communication systems, sealing systems, glass cell systems, various conveyance systems, welding (all types), paint processes and associated systems, vision and sensor application.
Familiarity with World Class Manufacturing pillar methodology and implementation.
Good working knowledge of Google Suite software.
Work different shifts and/or work weekends, including overtime.
Work in hot and/or cold environments.
Work around heavy equipment or manufacturing machinery.
Wear safety equipment such as safety glasses, sleeves, earplugs, and steel‑toed shoes.
Stand or walk for long periods each day.
Frequently bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 40 pounds.
Work in tight or closed spaces.
Regularly climb ladder/man‑lift/stairs/crawl under vehicles if necessary.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
