BIM Technician
W.B. Guimarin & Co. (WBG) – Columbia, SC
W.B. Guimarin & Co. is seeking a highly driven, detail-oriented BIM Technician to support our mechanical and plumbing construction operations. This role plays a vital part in ensuring precise coordination, constructability, and efficient field execution across design / build and construction projects. Qualifications
Associates degree in Applied Science or higher in Engineering Graphic Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Building Information Modeling preferred but not required as equivalent working experience will be considered.
3+ years of BIM experience preferred
Strong understanding of mechanical and plumbing systems
Proven ability to coordinate with multiple trades
Should have working knowledge of HVAC, Piping and Plumbing systems to include how to review and understand Architectural, Structural, Mechanical and Plumbing drawings.
Must have ability to visualize, coordinate and create clash free design and demonstrate system build ability for the mechanical systems of a construction project.
Working knowledge of Mechanical Systems and experience in MEP 3D Coordination / Modeling is highly preferred.
