We are seeking a Construction Manager for one of our growing telecom clients to manage outside plant fiber construction projects across multiple locations nationwide. This is a highly field-focused role with significant travel and direct ownership of safety, production, quality, crews, and project financials.
This opportunity is best suited for someone who started in the field and worked their way up. If you have hands‑on experience on OSP crews, have operated equipment such as excavators, and have progressed into supervisory or construction management roles, this role is built for you.
What You Will Do
Manage OSP fiber construction projects from planning through closeout.
Manage field crews, supervisors, and subcontractors with a strong focus on safety, quality, and production.
Spend significant time in the field at active job sites across the country.
Own project schedules, labor planning, equipment needs, and quality standards.
Maintain full responsibility for project financials including job cost, work in progress, expenses, and profit and loss.
Support field leadership with daily decision making that impacts productivity and profitability.
Ensure accurate reporting, documentation, and production tracking using project systems and tools.
Champion jobsite safety and lead by example at all times.
What We Are Looking For
5+ years of strong OSP fiber construction background with real field experience.
1+ years owning full-cycle OSP fiber construction projects with budget and P&L responsibility.
Prior hands‑on work as an operator, foreman, or crew lead required so you know projects and teams inside and out.
Proven progression from field operations into construction or project management.
Willingness to travel extensively nationwide and spend the majority of time in the field.
Strong understanding of construction safety practices and OSHA requirements.
Confident leader who can drive results in fast‑paced, high‑production environments.
Solid communication skills and comfort working with crews, customers, and internal teams.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction or project management systems.
Valid driver’s license and high school diploma or equivalent required.
$1,000/month vehicle allowance provided, along with fuel card.
Travel expenses covered by employer.
This is a heavy travel role, not an office‑based project management role.
This is a hands‑on construction and project management position for professionals who know how wireline work actually gets done in the field and are willing to be on site to make it happen.
