AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Bridge Project Design Engineer IV for employment in Phoenix, Arizona. This role provides the opportunity to directly support transformational projects including the I-25 and I-15 DB projects. Design has begun and will extend over the coming years, offering multiple career-defining opportunities on the project. Base pay range
$110,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team. Provide specialized technical input to studies and design for staff\'s specific area of expertise. Develop study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality, cost-effective work by the team. Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables. Develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects. Apply expertise in all steps of completing the discipline component of PS&E package. Perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings. Prepare technical specification sections. Provide input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements. Minimum Requirements
BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Active PE license. Ability to pass MVR check. Preferred Qualifications
Masters of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering degree. 6+ years of bridge design and plan development experience. Project experience in Arizona related to AzDOT and/or local bridge design project work. Proficiency in software such as MicroStation, LEAP Concrete/Bridge, MathCAD, and MDX. Knowledge of 3D finite element software such as CSiBridge, MIDAS, SAP2000, etc. is a plus. Experience in the plan production of transportation structures such as bridges, culverts, and retaining walls. Excellent verbal communication and writing skills, including technical report writing. Structural problem analysis skills, including knowledge/use of design and calculation tools and software. Knowledge of standard engineering practices, techniques and applicable codes. Ability to do occasional field work (site visits and inspections) and travel. Additional Information
