Quality Manager - Food Manufacturing Actalent

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Manager to ensure our high standards of food safety and quality control. This role involves managing cleanliness standards, overseeing pre‑operations team activities, and ensuring smooth production‑line operations. You will be responsible for conducting walk‑through checks in cold storage, performing food safety and HACCP checks, and supporting our food safety program and training initiatives.

Responsibilities

Ensure cleanliness standards are met from the prior shift at the start of the day.

Oversee activities of the pre‑operations team.

Monitor swab oversight and assist QA technicians.

Ensure production lines are running smoothly.

Conduct walk‑through checks in cold storage.

Perform food safety and HACCP checks and training.

Participate in morning meetings and long‑term projects.

Support food safety program and training initiatives.

Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.

Work in a small lab, utilizing sterile techniques and preparing samples for outside labs.

Perform plating techniques and manage incubators.

Essential Skills

Quality assurance and quality control experience in a food facility.

A four‑year degree in a relevant field.

HACCP knowledge and experience.

Leadership experience or potential.

Skills & Qualifications

Open to candidates with a Food Science degree who demonstrate leadership experience.

Job Type & Location Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, KS.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00–$30.00/hr.
