Department / Unit Summary The Critical Care Unit (CCU) at North Alabama Hospital is a 22‑bed unit within a trauma III hospital. It emphasizes teamwork and productive communication to provide specialized care for critically ill patients.

How You'll Contribute You will shape patient journeys, deliver specialized care, and leverage technology to improve patient wellbeing.
Qualifications And Requirements Applicants must hold a current state RN license. Additional requirements:
Basic Life Support certification
ACLS/PALS certification required within six months of hire
One year of experience preferred
What You Will Do
Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments
Document patient care provided
Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions appropriately to care team, physicians, patients, and families
Assist patients with activities of daily living (personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation)
Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs
Evaluate learning needs of patients and/or families and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances
Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients
