Radiation Oncology Nurse PRN
TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center invites qualified registered nurses to join our radiation oncology team on a PRN basis. This position supports our commitment to deliver high‑quality patient care throughout the radiation treatment journey.

Job Summary and Qualifications
Utilizes therapeutic communication in daily practice.
Maintains a safe therapeutic environment.
Identifies nursing problems related to individual patient needs.
Plans individualized patient care using an interdisciplinary approach.
Anticipates performance‑improvement activities.
Provides care and coordinates participation that aligns with the hospital’s mission and vision.
When acting in a charge nurse role, ensures delivery of quality patient care.
Makes staff assignments based on patient need, acuity, and staff skill level.
Responds promptly to requests for information or follow‑ups with physicians, staff, and patients.
Responsibilities
Evaluate patients throughout their radiation treatment journey and provide education on potential side effects and care management.
Implement and monitor patient care plans.
Schedule diagnostic and/or radiation treatment‑planning exams.
Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as primary coordinator of the multidisciplinary team to ensure well‑coordinated patient care.
Implement and document physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient discharge‑planning needs with multidisciplinary team members.
Qualifications
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date.
Registered Nurse (RN) credential.
Associate, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Nursing.
At least 1 year of RN experience required; critical‑care experience preferred.
