Duties and responsibilities

Working with M&N's Transportation Technology lead to coordinate and lead marketing efforts for ITS/ATMS/TSMO related projects throughout Florida

Managing, coordinating and leading the delivery of the ITS/ATMS and TSMO related projects throughout the State of Florida

Working within a team of professionals in developing roadway, traffic and transportation planning and engineering solutions for a multitude of transportation projects

Utilize ORD, Microstation or CAD to develop engineering drawings for the following: Roadway geometric design

Prepare designs for ITS/ATMS communications

Prepare electrical design plans

Prepare communication and network architecture plans

Signal, Signing and Pavement Marking and Lighting design

Preparation of quantities

Traffic impact studies

Accident studies

Perform Field work related to ITS/ATMS systems

Perform electrical analysis calculations

Transportation planning analyses

Research and interpret transportation data, community statistics, and demographics

Prepare written planning documents, summarize information collected by others, and assemble reports

Traffic data collection and tabulation

Intersection and roadway level of service analyses

Development, analysis, and evaluation of traffic improvements

Design of traffic control devices

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering or related field; required

PE with minimum of 8 years in ITS/ATMS/TSMO engineering/planning experience; required

Experience with signal design; required

Experience with ORD software; required

Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation; preferred

Experience with VISSIM, Aimsun, Synchro or HCS; preferred

Experience with ArcGIS; preferred

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Self-motivated

Attention to detail

Ability to think critically

Strong computer skills

Excel in working in a team environment

Working conditions Majority of work is office based. Some site visits may be required which may necessitate navigating unpaved or natural terrain while carrying equipment.
