Responsibilities
Deliver periodontal services, scaling, root planing, and local anesthesia as treatment plans dictate.
Perform full‑mouth prophylaxis, including scaling, polishing, and topical fluoride for adults and pediatric patients.
Chart periodontal health with probing depths, mobility, furcations, recession, and mucogingival involvement.
Provide chair‑side oral hygiene instruction and dietary counseling.
Assist with restorative procedures under dentist supervision when endorsed.
Maintain infection control, universal precautions, and instrument sterility.
Participate in grant‑specific activities, teledentistry visits, and staff education.
Travel within Washington and Yamhill Counties as needed.
Qualifications
Associate degree or higher from an accredited dental hygiene program.
Active dental hygiene license issued by the Oregon Board of Dentistry.
Current BLS/CPR/AED certification.
Knowledge of periodontal procedures, charting, and infection control.
Excellent oral and written communication; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and active auto insurance.
Experience with nitrous oxide and restorative endorsement preferred.
