Registered Dietitian – Inpatient Position (Per‑Diem Contractor) Reasons Eating Disorder Center (Reasons) seeks a Registered Dietitian to provide compassionate care to adult and adolescent patients in our inpatient eating disorder and behavioral health programs at BHC Alhambra Hospital.

The Dietitian collaborates with the attending physician, Director of Virtual and Nutrition Services, and the treatment team to develop individualized treatment plans, conduct nutritional assessments, create and monitor meal plans, and deliver patient, group and family nutritional education. The Dietitian may also provide education to referral sources about eating disorders and our program.

Key Responsibilities

Perform nutritional assessments on all patients enrolled in the eating disorders program and document findings promptly.

Consult with patients and family members regarding nutritional needs, goals, and exercise goals.

Develop meal plans for program patients based on their individual energy needs.

Supervise clients at mealtimes to ensure meal plan compliance.

Minimum Requirements

Licensure:

Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) under the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in nutritional studies from an accredited college or university.

Experience:

Preferred experience working with eating disorder patients; education in the field may be accepted in lieu of experience.
