Minimum $71,737 – $79,425 (UC salary scales).

Open: 19 December 2025 – Final: 20 January 2026 Responsibilities
Lead publication of papers on experimental evolution of plants; conduct genome sequencing, plant growth, phenotype & gene‑expression assays, and construct generation for gene editing. Analyze experiments via population genetic statistics and biostatistical methods (linear regression, mixed models). Generate figures utilizing R and Python. Present findings at national and international conferences. Mentor and train graduate and undergraduate students, providing feedback on progress. Meet weekly with the PI to evaluate progress. Qualifications
Basic qualification required:
PhD (or equivalent) in genetics, genomics, evolutionary biology, or related field, or currently enrolled in PhD program. Additional qualifications (required at start): PhD by start date. No more than three years of post‑degree research experience. Preferred qualifications: Experience in evolution, genomics, bioinformatics, population genetics, quantitative genomics, comparative genomics, molecular genetics, genome evolution. Track record of research productivity, independence, and collaboration. Enthusiasm for collaborative work, mentoring, and lab‑wide participation. Application Requirements
