Registered Nurse (RN) - Part‑Time Days (One Day a Week) - Tabitha Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Eventide – Tabitha is currently hiring for a Part‑Time Registered Nurse (RN) for a day shift (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM, 12 hours). The position includes every third weekend and holiday rotation.

Ideal Candidate

Minimum age 18.

Successful completion of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse course of study. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

At least 6 months of experience as an RN or LPN preferred.

RN or LPN license in good standing as recorded on the Nebraska State Registry or another nurse compact state. CPR required. Licenses/credentials must be kept up to date at the employee’s expense and must meet Tabitha’s vaccination requirements.

Essential Job Duties

Follow through on physicians’ orders in accordance with Tabitha’s policies and procedures; receive and record orders when appropriate.

Prepare, administer, and/or supervise the administration of medication, treatments, and other nursing services as ordered by the physician and according to facility policies/procedures. Observe seniors/clients for any sign of adverse reaction to medications.

Assess seniors/clients assigned to the RN in regard to physical, mental, and psychosocial status; report condition changes in a timely manner to the immediate supervisor and provide follow‑up with family and physician as directed. Take and accurately record vital signs.

Diligently observe senior/client skin per Tabitha policies, proactively taking steps to avoid pressure ulcers.

Complete procedures and document the appropriate information on the senior/client’s medical record in a timely manner according to Tabitha’s policies and procedures, with particular attention to accuracy and timeliness.

Provide direction and monitor Medication Aides who are delivering medications to seniors/clients. Follow through on the comprehensive care plan as developed for each individual senior/client.

Provide supervision and education to seniors/clients for self‑administration of medications. When applicable, assist in teaching the senior/client and/or caregiver the necessary skills to allow the senior/client to return to home.

Assist in writing and implementing a comprehensive nursing plan of care; update the plan based on changes in the senior/client’s physical and/or emotional state.
