Position Summary The Intensive In-Home Behavioral Health Services (IIBHS) Clinician provides assessment, treatment, crisis intervention, and case management services for children ages 4 through 24. The Clinician will foster positive working relationships with clients, families, providers, educators and outside key stakeholders. This position will implement service delivery in accordance to model standards and utilize a strength based-solution focused model of care.
Education and Experience / Qualifications
Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling or Social Work.
Or Doctoral degree in Psychology.
Licensure Requirements For Clinical Positions
Must hold one of the following credentials to start the position: LMSW, LCSW, LMFTA, LMFT, LPCA, LPC or licensed or license-eligible Psychologist in the State of Connecticut.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Conduct program specific screening and evaluation, and formulate diagnosis in accordance with the Diagnostic Statistical Manual (DSM).
Develop and document clear clinical formulations, crisis and treatment plans that are individualized and measurable, developed in collaboration with the client/family and others as relevant.
Demonstrate knowledge of psychopathology, and other behavioral health concerns and primary modalities of psychotherapeutic intervention. Triage clinical emergencies and implement program specific safety and consultation protocols.
Utilize best practices and evidence‑based practice models where appropriate and adhere to model and program expectations where applicable.
Provide clinical services in community settings outside of the office (e.g., homes, schools, hospitals, institutions) and other community locations as defined by the program. May transport clients to appointments or linkages as appropriate.
Demonstrate knowledge of internal and external levels of care, referral processes and resources. Make clinically appropriate referrals for identified service needs in a timely manner.
Meet direct service productivity goals as defined by program.
Communicate in a positive, effective manner with client, family, and all internal and external providers.
Attend any required meetings and trainings/ quarterly meetings.
Demonstrate knowledge of program/department/agency goals and target outcomes, and adhere to practice standards and to data collection and reporting protocols.
Document all client related information in compliance with agency policy and contractor requirements.
Attend and be prepared for scheduled team supervision and weekly rounds if applicable.
Seek additional supervision or consultation as needed and follow through with supervisory directives.
Continue to develop knowledge and understanding of the history, traditions, values, family systems, and artistic expression of groups served as well as use appropriate methodological approaches, skills, and techniques that reflect an understanding of culture.
