Part‑time Warehouse Material Handler – Coca‑Cola Consolidated
Location: Hagerstown, MD | Pay: $17.00–$18.00 per hour | Shift: 1st (8:00‑4:30) | Employment: Part‑time, Entry Level
Job Overview The Warehouse Material Handler fulfills customer orders by retrieving and stacking products as specified on Pick Tickets. The role involves traveling throughout the warehouse’s pick area, building stable pallets, using a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) or pallet jack, and maintaining safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
Duties & Responsibilities
Retrieve and place product onto pallets per Pick Ticket instructions, ensuring safe and stable stacking.
Transport pallets or stacked product to various warehouse areas using a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) or pallet jack.
Assist in warehouse cleanliness and housekeeping.
Perform daily PIT checklist and report any issues.
Correct any errors identified by the Checker.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Fast‑paced work environment and repetitive lifting up to 30 lbs. (daily) and 75 lbs. (as required).
Team collaboration and organization of warehouse processes.
Read and interpret computer instructions.
Attention to detail and package differentiation.
Adaptability to changing work areas & tasks.
Initiative and self‑starter behavior.
Flexibility with schedule changes.
Minimum Qualifications
Up to 12 months of related work experience.
PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) certification – pallet jack.
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Similar work experience and certification as above.
Work Environment
Noisy, non‑temperature‑controlled warehouse (hot in summer, cold in winter).
